Girls Gone Wild creator arrested
Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis was arrested this morning at a Florida airport for contempt of court. The arrest warrant was issued last week after Francis changed the terms of the settlement deal reached with seven women who filed suit in 2003 on the grounds that they were victimized when they were filmed in sexually charged situations during a spring break vacation. Francis was ordered to turn himself in to authorities by noon on Thursday to begin serving jail time for contempt of court. Francis reportedly missed the deadline, despite telling Geraldo Rivera yesterday, "I'm not trying to hide at all. I'm on my way to Florida right now to turn myself in and comply with the judge's order. I would never run from justice."
