Jessica Smith from Laguna Beach arrested!
Jessica Smith, a former star of the MTV reality television show "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County," was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after a crash on the northbound San Diego (I-5) Freeway on Monday. Smith, 19, of Laguna Beach, crashed a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle into the back of a 2003 Acura MDX after she couldn't slow down in time, a California Highway Patrol report said. The CHP report said that her level of intoxication, unsafe speeds and wet roadways were conditions that led to the crash. The driver of the Acura, Roy Hernandez of Lake Forest, sustained minor injuries in the collision, CHP officials said. A single passenger in Smith's car, Lindsay Cooper, 20, of Isla Vista, also suffered minor injuries in the crash, according to reports. Smith is being held at the Orange County Jail Women's Intake Release Center in lieu of $100,000 bail. She's scheduled for an arraignment at the Harbor Justice Center on Wednesday.
